Well we've come to the end of another Christmas season and I must say this one was our most enjoyable to date. The reason can be summed up in one word "Caleb". They say that Christmas is more for the parents than the kids at his age and that was definatly the case with us. I however, was surprised at our level of self-control when shopping for christmas gifts for caleb -- the same cannot be said for the grandparents however. My parents spent 3 weeks in Texas in December so they had plenty of time for shopping. They had to strategically pack their vehicle for the drive home so as to fit everything.
Caleb actually did "help" open some of his presents. He is starting to grab things so if I placed the chunk of wrapping paper in his hand, he sort of ripped it off the gift...

The gifts were great & Caleb will get much use out of everything he received. The best part of the season however was spending time with family & friends. We ate lots, laughed lots, and made many lasting memories. To steal a phrase from "Dr. Suess"...
"Maybe Christmas" he thought "doesn't come from a store.
Maybe Christmas...perhaps...means a little bit more!"
